about the journey

and I'm an omnivore.

So in a nutshell ....Ive been an actor/singer for almost 30 years...on the books at least :)  Simultaneously, Ive been in the foodie world: as a server, a manager, a trainer and a teacher.

Add a pandemic shut-down and ...Voilà!....it's a journey across the "boards" .  Get it ? good.

Eating for me is very plug and play....bring things in and out of your diet depending not only what you enjoy, but also how you feel during and after the fact.

I've been slowly leaning a little more plant-based on my personal food journey and what I've discovered is that there are some incredible plant-based foods...not just amazing produce, but great non-dairy cheeses, spreads, and vegan meats.

I don't think of them as replacements or duplicates of meat and dairy....more so -- alternatives.   

OK...that sounds a bit preachy maybe... but let's talk flavor.  Does that"stuff" taste good?  

Yeah...it really does.

That said.....we -- myself included -- can still enjoy dairy, meat and all the things ...but using organic produce, the finest quality meats and cheeses, jams and spreads coming from small batch purveyors as much as possible.

Happy accident is that our "journey across the board" name also echoed the types of boards and table grazes we create......

Our boards and tables go down ANY path from carnivore to vegetarian to plant-based and all allergies and aversions welcome

Oh yeah...and since the actor is still going strong in me...our boards need to be a "show" as well as the fun and unique flavors and textures we love.

So let's eat what looks and tastes good!  Let's pair our food with a good wine or beer.  

It's your path....your journey.

Let's have delicious be the normal.

And whichever food path you're on -- let's ultimately allow there to be variety so that we can ALL sit at the same table and gather...and break bread (even if its gluten free)

as we ....journey across the board.
